DIY Dream Oracle

Do you like to make art?

Do you love dreams and want to learn more about them?

Are the words "sound healing" music to your ears?

If  you answered yes to any of these questions, you may really enjoy the  DIY Dream Oracle Workshop + Sound Healing – a workshop that will teach  you to use your dreams to make your own oracle card(s). If you don’t  dream, don’t worry! You can use as inspiration an image that emerges in  your mind during the dreamy sound healing.

The workshop will be held Sunday, October 6, 1-4 p.m., at Soft Medicine Sanctuary in Sebastopol.

It’s $45-$75, sliding scale.

WHAT TO EXPECT

**Learn  about dreamwork.** Melissa will give a dynamic talk on the fascinating  world of dream interpretation, offering some basic dreamwork techniques.

**Melt  into a sound healing.** Talented healer Rebecca Webb will pull out her  chimes and Tibetan bowls, and lead a beautiful sound healing. Use this  time to hold your dream in your mind and see what words, thoughts, or  images come to you. Or, if you don't have a dream, see what ideas and  images spontaneously arise in your mind's eye.

**Explore  your dreams and images.** Participants will pair off into groups of two  and explore their dreams together, using some of the ideas Melissa  presents in her talk.

**Make  an oracle card.** Now for the really fun part! Play with a variety of  Cara Roxanne's art materials, and collage a card based on your dream.  Cara will show you a nifty way to inscribe the name of your card onto  your artwork. And you may be surprised at how the oracle-making process  deepens your understanding of your dream.

Bring a yoga mat and, if you want, an eye pillow for the sound healing. We'll take care of the rest.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS Melissa  Grace will be presenting the workshop with her colleague and friend,  Cara Roxanne, a dreamworker and artist who will be flying in all the way  from the UK to teach the class. Over a four-year process, Cara and  Melissa used their dreams to create The Dreaming Oracle deck, an oracle  card based on Jungian psychology. And they are excited to share their  process with you so that you can make your own cards!
